Below you will find the current vacancies currently in re.cr.uit.  Please note the relevant timescales on each vacancy.  We encourage employees to sign up proactively at the earliest possible opportunity to re.cr.uit.  Don’t just wait until you see a vacancy you’re interested in!

Job Purpose – The Graduate Trainee (Housing) will undertake project work. The post holder will also provide administration support to a team responsible for managing tenancies within a geographic area to improve the quality of ‘Place’ and improving housing and wellbeing outcomes for all people. The Graduate Trainee will assist with a variety of tasks that will widen their knowledge and experience.

Job Purpose – The postholder undertake either individually or as a member of a team a variety of duties concerned with Environmental Operations including both general gardening or street sweeping work and horticultural work of a specialist nature in public parks, playing fields, cemeteries, landscaped areas, public open spaces, public roads, amenity areas and housing estates.

Must be physically fit to undertake the full range of duties of the post and be willing to work outdoors in all weathers.  Must be willing and able to undertake a wide range of manual tasks as well as driving vehicles.  Must have at least a B class licence but preferably B+E licence. 3 of the posts require C1 class licence

Location – Aberdeen Treasure Hub and Kittybrewster Museum Store

Job Purpose – Being an active member of a large front of house team, providing security and customer care at all the Aberdeen Art Gallery and Museums venues. The job also includes providing specialised support for Collections work. The post involves working closely with all of the other Art Gallery and Museum teams and assisting where and when required. The job requires working on a set rota pattern with weekend work on a regular basis.  Occasional evening work and lone working is included.

This post will focus on the collections aspect of the wider role of Museum Assistant and specifically support the careful handling, packing, location control, and relocation of 13,000 objects in the museums and gallery’s collection. Working at Kittybrewster museum store for the initial period of the appointment and then moving to Aberdeen Treasure Hub in Northfield to assist with unpacking, reorganisation and location control of incoming items. Training in best practice for care of museum collections will be given as part of the role, and you will have the opportunity to get up close to historic artefacts, peculiar objects and unusual artworks

Job Purpose – To contribute to the provision of a technical support service in school, including ICT, to support curriculum delivery and learning and teaching activities. School technical support services can include reprographics, DTP, AV, Science, Art & Design, Home Economics, Design & Technology, ICT, Photography, Film and Recording. To attend relevant meetings and training sessions. This role will have a focus on Digital Technologies such as Google and Microsoft 365 as well as general technical school support.

Job Purpose – The purpose of the job is to analyse samples, and to perform Quality Audits on the Laboratory’s quality management system.

In addition to the requirements of the job profile, extensive experience of working in either a chemistry or microbiology laboratory with demonstrable skills in the areas of troubleshooting, method development and validation, as well as training and supervision would be preferable.

Job Purpose – The post holder will deliver a statutory social work service to individuals in the Justice Social Work Services, in line with National Outcomes and Standards, working as a member of the ‘Unpaid Work Team’ to train, instruct and supervise small groups of individuals subject to statutory orders who are undertaking a broad range of activities and tasks.

Applicants should have a pleasant personality and be able to instruct people in various hands on tasks showing an understanding patient approach.
