The objectives of this policy are to provide information to all employees on the types of development opportunities that are available to them, the ways in which they can access appropriate development activities and the level of support that is available to assist with their development. The policy also sets out the various responsibilities of the Council as the employer, as well as those of the individual employee, when undertaking any development activity and provides information on the arrangements that are in place to monitor the quality of the development provided.
